Sights around Parque Nacional Santa Teresa

Posted 1 year ago by avatar julia in response to avatar judemom's question: What is there so interesting to see in Parque Nacional Santa Teresa? (give a different answer) .

Well, besides the numerous exotic and palm trees, the zoo, aviary and the freshwater pools, there is the impressive fortress of Santa Teresa, first buit by the Portuguese and then taken over by the Spanish. Inside the fortress there is a museum with artefacts collected from the wars of independence. Buy the ticket ($0.30) from the La Posada Del Viajero restaurant. That's beside the entrance ticket to the park which is $1.20.
